Radiology Requirements in Tennessee

Radiologist assistants, radiographers, and radiation therapists must pass the state or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exam in order to practice in Tennessee. Limited scope X-ray technicians may receive certification through the state of Tennessee by submitting proof that they have successfully completed a board-approved training course. Both radiographers and limited license X-ray technicians must complete a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education credits every two years.

Columbia State Community College: Columbia State Community College, in the city of Columbia, was the very first community college in the state of Tennessee.
